A work around for the todo that I use is that I don't use the little check box! I use the number 0 before each item:
0 Pick up the kids
0 Grade papers
0 Order supplies
One advantage is that I can instead of just boxes, those can become numbers to prioritize the items if I need to. I simply put an x in front of the ones I complete. Not the prettiest, but its GTD!

What this lets me do is use it with the iPad. When opening the note on the iPad it will say it can't do Rich Text format and either Append, or Copy. If you copy, you'll get plain text, which works great. Everything syncs great.

Also, the Todo check boxes do show up on and iPhone, but gives the same options when you try to edit them.barrylindlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14706853189255991000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158157279489866895.post-22250308053503177742011-08-01T17:29:25.336-04:002011-08-01T17:29:25.336-04:00Evernote actually says their notes are as secure a...Evernote actually says their notes are as secure as email in a high-end email service. See here:
http://blog.evernote.com/2008/04/15/evernote-privacy-and-security/

You can actually encrypt individual text within notes that only you can access with a password. So, if you wanted extra privacy precautions, you could use this feature of Evernote. Here's a link to how to do this:

http://michaelhyatt.com/is-your-data-safe-in-evernote.html

I could certainly see where security is a concern.John Robinson Ed.Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14155145743617621924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158157279489866895.post-19419625410412556962011-08-01T17:20:42.755-04:002011-08-01T17:20:42.755-04:00Evernote is one of the most functional applicatio...Evernote is one of the most functional applications I have used. Is there any reason to be concerned about privacy when including student/staff names in your daily logs? That would be my only concern, but maybe I'm just overparanoid.

I have also recently tried using Evernote for my walkthroughs, however, found that when I email feedback to staff it goes directly to their junk mail. Not sure how to get around that yet.PrincipalJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18325614337991252963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158157279489866895.post-42499341051322809712011-08-01T02:38:12.045-04:002011-08-01T02:38:12.045-04:00Great to read that I use evernote in the same way ...Great to read that I use evernote in the same way here in the Netherlands. I was aware of Evernote previously but your blog just really opened my eyes to the functionality of Evernote on a daily basis.
